Appointment of Area Coaching / Development

Co-ordinator for Welsh Bowls (One Post available)

The Welsh Bowls Federation is seeking to appoint an Area Coaching/ Development Co-ordinator for the Vale of Glamorgan.

The main purpose of the role will be to lead, organise coaching and development issues in the Vale of Glamorgan area. This will include training and updating club coaches, organisation of youth development courses, and staffing high performance courses and liaison with County Associations. The postholder will also be required to co-ordinate the work of the “Hub” Coach leaders.

It is expected that the individual will hold an Advanced Coach Award and/ or have considerable experience of coaching to a high standard.

A fixed annual fee of £1,750 will be paid to the successful candidate (plus agreed expenses). It is anticipated this will equate to approx 275 hours work per year, based on the needs of the programme.

Appointment of Community “Hub” Development Coaches

For Welsh Bowls (5 posts available)

The Welsh Bowls Federation is seeking to appoint FIVE* part-time Community Hub Development Coaches, each linked to a group of 5 bowls clubs.

* (Area Vacancies - Mid Glamorgan, Monmouthshire, Montgomeryshire, Vale of Glamorgan and West Glamorgan).

Responsibilities will include organising and leading development models at club level for both juniors and adults, working under the guidance of the National and Area Development Co-ordinators. The individual should be qualified to at least Intermediate Bowls Coach Award level.

A fixed annual fee of £1,000 will be paid to each successful candidate (plus agreed expenses). It is anticipated this will equate to approx 180 hours work per year, based on the needs of the programme.
